Paragon Arabians has been breeding National quality horses for our clients for over twenty years. The beautiful horses that have been bred at Paragon can be attributed to the careful selection of breeding stock based on proven pedigrees, proven production and proven show ring success. The mares at Paragon and the client owned mares managed by Paragon, are stellar breeding individuals demanding the best stallion power in the breed. We have worked many years to provide great stallions for these very special mares. SHAH AZIM, STEALTH V, Pink Floyd and Artizan have entered our program with a bang and the contributions of these stallions will live on in our breed for generations to come. We hope that our many years of hard work and devotion to improving the quality of the Arabian horse will add that "something extra" for your mares and bring you the continued success you are striving for in your own breeding program.

There are several breeding options available at Paragon. We are well equipped to handle all your requirements including cooled transported semen, complete stallion management and full mare care if you would prefer to have your mares bred and/or foaled out at the farm.

Transported cooled semen charges are $150.00 per shipment (which includes collection and preparation of the semen for shipment and rental of the shipping equitainer) plus priority overnight shipping charges with Fed-Ex or UPS. The stallions are collected every other day to protect their health and the viability of the semen. We usually include two breeding doses with each shipment, however, sometimes the demand is so great only one dose is possible. It is necessary for you to give us 24 hours notice prior to collection of the semen, therefore, at least 48 hours notice before you wish to have the semen delivered to you. The stallions only produce so much semen so it is shipped on a first come first served basis. Frozen semen is available but is more expensive and requires your veterinarian's expertise to use successfully. We are also able to arrange same day service through the airlines when required (if flights are available to your area and a courier is also available), however, you pay a $100.00 courier service fee in addition to the shipping charges. We require a credit card authorization for all transported semen expenses and a deposit for the equitainer.

Paragon's number one goal is to get your mares in foal and get those upcoming "National Champions" on the ground. Our conception rate is excellent and we will bend over backwards to help you get the job done. But our success is dependent on your communications with us, your vet's expertise, the health of your mare and the reliability of the shipping company delivering the semen. Most healthy mares get in foal on the first or second attempt if we all work well together. Good communications is the key and we will cooperate in every way possible to bring you that very special baby!

Mare care at Paragon is $12.00 per day for a paddock or pasture depending on availability and your mare's disposition. Stalls, when available, are $15.00 per day and a foal at the mare's side is $2.00 per day whether in paddock, pasture or stall. Halter breaking is a flat $250.00 fee and is required for any foal born at Paragon and is at Paragon's option for foals brought to Paragon on their dams' side. Foaling is $300.00 plus any required vet care. Naturally, you are responsible for all hauling, farrier and vet work, and any other charges incurred by you or your horses while they are at Paragon.

We will be more than happy to discuss your needs and work with you and your vet closely on all transported semen requirements. Please feel free to contact us at the farm by e-mail, or by phone at (707) 839-2100 with any of your breeding questions.
